I haven't been idle. This was a small piece to celebrate 'Tea'.
The background fabric was tea dyed and the table is made from
teabags. I made it years ago as a challenge. I collected used
teabags, dried them out thoroughly, emptied them, cut off the
seams to create single pieces of paper and ironed them. I carefully
pieced them together to create quite a sturdy piece. It then got
put away for a few years ready to be remembered and used.
As I'd nearly used it all (it was only about 18''x10'') I decided to start
collecting, drying and emptying teabags ready for when I get the
urge to make teabag fabric. It will probably get done when I'm
procrastinating about doing something else. Procrastination can be
quite productive.
